Visioneer “Where There Is A Need” Program Supports Ocean Conservancy’s Trash Free Seas Program

PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At Visioneer, there is a strong belief that protecting and preserving the environment for future generations should not just be a goal, but a mission. In support of this pursuit, they decided to let their customers and Facebook friends select the recipient of their “Where There Is A Need” donation last quarter. Visioneer today announced that the Ocean Conservancy^® is the chosen beneficiary.

According to the Ocean Conservancy’s website, ocean trash is one of the most widespread problems threatening our ocean and waterways. Trash in the water can impact human health: sharp items can cut beachgoers, and batteries, car parts and 55-gallon chemical drums may leak toxic compounds. Trash also threatens wildlife. Even the mightiest whale can drown when entangled in old rope or fishing nets, and many fish, birds and animals eat trash they mistake for food.
