Priority Health Expands Its Medicare Offerings

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Priority Health is furthering its commitment to providing quality health care in Michigan by expanding the counties it serves, the number of providers in its networks and health plans it offers. This year alone, Priority Health Medicare added a new health plan, more than 5,000 new providers and seven new counties to its already expansive network.

Priority Health added seven counties to its Medicare service area. With the seven additional counties – Arenac, Calhoun, Cheboygan, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee and Ogemaw – Priority Health now serves 58 counties. In addition, more than 5,000 new providers were added to the Priority Health Medicare Advantage network this year, including the University of Michigan Health System, growing the family of doctors to more than 19,000. Priority Health offers four Medicare Advantage plans including PriorityMedicare Value^SM (HMO-POS), PriorityMedicare^SM (HMO-POS), PriorityMedicare Merit^SM (PPO) or PriorityMedicare Select^SM (PPO). PriorityMedicare Merit, the newest Priority Health plan, is a value-priced PPO. The plan is great for snowbirds who like the freedom of seeing a doctor no matter where they travel.
