Governor Patrick will proclaim October 22-26th Innovation Week in Massachusetts (#InnoWeekMA) noting the confluence of events that are taking place throughout the week that showcase the Massachusetts Innovation Economy.
Innovation Week features eight big events that all take place in the Boston-area, shining a spotlight on Innovation of various kinds. From marketing and tech innovation, emerging tech in a variety of key industries such as healthcare and education, entrepreneurship and forward-moving ideas that can change our world.
The coordination of these events during Innovation Week is the result of a collaboration among the organizations running these events including the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), MassChallenge, UMass Boston, BREW Boston, MIT Technology Review, TiE Boston, and Xconomy, as well as a dedicated group of volunteers called the Mass Action unCommittee that was created coming out of the Chatham Forum hosted by World Class Cities Partnership last winter. The Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Housing has been a strong partner in the effort as well.
“We are thrilled to have the Governor welcome everyone to FutureM and kick-off Innovation Week in Massachusetts. It’s a pivotal time to be building companies and products here. It’s clear that the Innovation Economy in Massachusetts is one of the most dynamic ecosystems in the world,” said Debi Kleiman, president of MITX.
She continued, “Innovation Week is very unique opportunity to bring together great organizations and thousands of people from around the world that are doing so much to connect and advance innovation, and look to Massachusetts as a leader.”
