PLANO, Texas--()--Building on a core foundation of excellent quality and customer service, Estech Systems, Inc. (ESI) (www.esi-estech.com), an innovative designer and manufacturer of high-performance telephone systems and cloud services for small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs), celebrates 25 years of business communications solutions, innovation and leadership.
“Advanced technology, ease-of-use and installation, a loyal and growing channel, and a progressive customer-centric vision have defined the ESI difference over the past 25 years and will continue to do so going forward”
A quarter-century of growth fueled with well-designed systems, product innovations, and investment in new technologies has positioned ESI as an innovative leader in the high-performance telephony industry. Founded in 1987 by Eric Suder, ESI is a privately held corporation headquartered in Plano, TX, employing 110 people. With more than 300,000 systems sold, ESI has been successful selling to SMBs by combining advanced communications systems with access control, presence management, and call and video logging, all within one easy-to-use system.
Over the past 25 years, the company has evolved from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of voice mail systems in Suder’s garage to a thriving, channel-based business communications solution provider working with more than 600 resellers across North America. Early on, Suder committed ESI to design and build its own hardware and software, rather than base its products on others’ platforms. While this has required a greater research and development commitment, it has allowed for greater product control which has resulted in building systems with innovative ease of use improvements and unique features while maintaining a competitive price point.
ESI’s product line has continued to grow in size, features and market share since the company’s inception.
“Advanced technology, ease-of-use and installation, a loyal and growing channel, and a progressive customer-centric vision have defined the ESI difference over the past 25 years and will continue to do so going forward,” said Doug Boyd, CEO of ESI, who has been with the company since 1994, when he was hired as vice president and chief operating officer. “As a technology-driven company outside Silicon Valley, we have gone the extra mile to implement innovative, productivity-enhancing features and functions into our phone systems and are constantly looking for new ways to keep our SMB customers better connected.”
As an OEM, ESI built private-label versions of its products for some of the world’s leading brands in telecommunications, including an eight-year relationship with Samsung, as well as other leading manufacturers. Today, ESI products are used by major companies throughout the United States, including Pizza Hut, Allstate Insurance, Remax, and the American Red Cross. Additionally, ESI products have been installed by the United States government in more than 2,000 facilities nationwide in departments such as the SSA and USDA.
ESI has also seen success outside the telephony space, putting focus on achieving “Success with Significance.” In 2005, the company founded the ESI Humanitarian Relief Fund, which offers aid to disaster relief efforts around the world. That success has expanded to numerous philanthropic projects which have made a positive impact on the lives of others in local, national, and international communities. ESI was recently named a 2012 Fit-Friendly Company by the American Heart Association and ranked as one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2012 North Texas Healthiest Employers.
“I’m proud to have built a long-standing company that still functions on the values of original equipment manufacturing, in-house innovation, and ‘success with significance’,” explained Eric Suder. “Our employees are more loyal and dedicated due to our family-based culture. We’re excited to celebrate the success of these past 25 years and we’re looking forward to the next 25.”
