SAN FRANCISCO--(Goodwin Procter, a national Am Law 50 firm, announced today that Bradley Bugdanowitz has been named chair of its San Francisco office. Bugdanowitz works with clients in structuring and executing minority and control investments, acquisitions and dispositions as well as public and private securities offerings. His recently completed transactions include representing JMI Equity in its investment in Paradigm Ltd.; NIKE in its strategic partnership with DyeCoo Textile Systems B.V.; Blackhawk Network in its acquisition of Cardpool; and Anthera Pharmaceuticals in its IPO and subsequent equity offerings.

In his new role, Bugdanowitz will oversee Goodwin’s San Francisco office, which opened in April 2006 and now includes 56 attorneys and staff. The office represents clients in a range of practices areas, including hospitality industry real estate transactions, life sciences and technology companies, private equity and patent litigation. The office has continued to expand its client service capabilities with the relocation of partners J. Hovey Kemp (Private Equity) from Goodwin’s Washington, D.C. office and E. Kelsey Lemaster (Tax) from Goodwin’s Boston office, and the recent addition of Laura Rupenian (Leveraged Finance), who joined Goodwin last month.
Bugdanowitz received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
