TORONTO--()--North Plains Systems Holdings, L.P., the largest pure-play digital asset management (DAM) provider, today announced Kevin Tureski as Vice President of Product Development. This key appointment is part of a significant expansion of the Company with several new and promoted employees across multiple departments.

As the VP of product development, Tureski oversees engineering, product management, and the Office of the CTO. His background includes more than 25 years of managing very large and complex software products including Maya®, the de facto standard for high-end animation, visual effects and game development. In 2003 he accepted on behalf of Alias|Wavefront an Oscar® for Scientific and Technical Achievement for the development of Maya. His expertise in agile and sustainable software development methodologies led to consulting engagements at Lucasfilm, Nemetschek Allplan GmbH and others.
With the continued expansion of North Plains, the Company has grown by more than 15 new employees in the past few months, including new hires in sales, marketing, engineering, technical support, professional services and administration from various regions in North America and Europe. Key hires include Dana Naideau, Cheng Fan, and Ronald Lokaisingh in sales as well as Bob Bennett and Andrew Salop in product management. Bennett has more than twenty years experience working for Autodesk, Alias|Wavefront and Luxology, and will manage the growing North Plains product line. Salop, a highly respected expert in the DAM industry, brings a deep understanding of the market and customer needs and is one of the originators of the XMP metadata standard. He has worked at companies including Adobe, Apple and Skype. Salop is joining as Senior Product Manager and will focus on Xinet.
