Private Ocean Brings a New Advisor on Board

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Private Ocean has added a senior advisor to its team. Robert Y. Anderson joined the firm on October 16, 2012. For the near term Rob will be working out of the San Rafael office with plans to eventually settle into an office in the East Bay.

Formerly a partner with Burr, Pilger & Mayer, Rob brings over thirty years of professional experience as a client service partner. He has served as an advisor to small and middle market business and high net worth individuals in the areas of tax planning, wealth management, accounting issues, succession planning, real estate investments and strategic planning. “When the opportunity was presented to me it was clear that there was great alignment between the values of Private Ocean and my own,” said Anderson.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner™, and a Certified Valuation Analyst, Mr. Anderson also has an MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University. “We are very excited to have Rob on the Private Ocean team,” said Greg Friedman, President.
