Consumers report injuries that they attribute to GranuFlo® and NaturaLyte® products ranging from heart attacks to death. The FDA has since recalled these products to protect the public.

In an internal memo, Fresenius warned its doctors of the dangers. However, they neglected to warn outside doctors or patients. Fresenius treated an estimated 1/3 of the over 400,000 Americans receiving dialysis treatment per year. This meant they potentially endangered thousands of patients’ health.
