LONDON & NEW YORK--()--Boyden, a global leader in executive search with more than 65 offices in over 40 countries, today announced the launch of a Global Financial Officers Practice to meet the increasing client demand for first-rate financial management.
“The establishment of Boyden’s Global Financial Officers Practice will provide an important expanded client service in both the established and fast growing developing markets”
Simon Bailey, a Partner of Boyden based in the UK, has been appointed leader of the practice. Mr Bailey has 20 years’ experience focusing on CFO and financial management assignments working with multinational businesses.
Boyden’s Global Financial Officers Practice is dedicated to the assessment and appointment of CFOs and senior finance executives in functions that include financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, investor relations, treasury, tax, corporate development, control/audit and risk. The practice will be supported by more than a dozen top experts in the CFO and financial officer function across Boyden’s offices in EMEA, Asia/Pacific and the Americas.
“The establishment of Boyden’s Global Financial Officers Practice will provide an important expanded client service in both the established and fast growing developing markets,” said Trina Gordon, President & CEO of Boyden World Corporation. “Our clients’ priorities are increasingly focused first on ensuring they have the very best talent in their CFO seat and across the entire function.”
“Boyden’s practice will further boost our ability to move financial officer talent around the world and from more sophisticated markets to developing markets,” said Mr Bailey. “Over the last several years, the emerging markets have generally been growing at more impressive rates, though the availability of CFO and finance officer talent has often not kept up with that expansion. Boyden’s nimbleness and senior-level experience will seamlessly address client needs to quickly close those talent gaps.”
Boyden believes the modern financial leader should be able to:
- Inspire, build and lead effective finance teams, including clearly articulating a strategy and vision for the function
- Play an integral role in the definition and execution of strategy
- Drive performance throughout the business, championing stakeholders across the entire business, building effective relationships and partnerships with senior management
- Developing efficient processes, systems and data, while maintaining a strong control environment
