KMK Partner Gregory M. Utter Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Cincinnati law firm of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK^®) is pleased to announce that Gregory M. Utter has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America.

Utter was formally inducted at the organization’s recent 2012 Annual Meeting of the College in New York, New York. The induction ceremony took place before an audience of approximately 1,070 people.

Greg Utter is the third attorney currently practicing at KMK to be elected to this prestigious organization. Other KMK attorneys named Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers include James E. Burke (1997) and Louis F. Gilligan (1985).

Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only, and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum 15 years of trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.

Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent (1%) of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently more than 5,838 members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows, and Honorary Fellows. The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice, and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice. They are carefully selected from among those who customarily represent plaintiffs in civil cases and those who customarily represent defendants, those who prosecute people accused of crime and those who defend them. For the past 31 years, Greg Utter’s practice has been concentrated in the areas of class action, complex commercial litigation, and personal injury. He has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in numerous commercial and class action matters involving employment, shareholder derivative, tort, antitrust, and contract disputes. Utter has significant experience in trial and appellate, state and federal courts in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas.
