Medical Reporter Mark Johnson Interviews Murphy’s Trauma Surgeon

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today published an exclusive interview with Oak Creek Police Lt. Brian Murphy, who was shot 12 times in the Sikh temple shooting on Aug. 5. Bill Glauber’s front-page story was the first interview granted by Murphy, who will also be interviewed by CBS Evening News, scheduled to air tonight. The Journal Sentinel’s Mark Johnson interviews Froedtert Hospital’s lead trauma surgeon Travis Webb, who was in charge of Murphy's initial 12-hour surgery, in an accompanying story.

Last week, Murphy and Officer Sam Lenda, the Oak Creek marksman whose rifle shot brought down white supremacist Wade Michael Page, sat for interviews with the Journal Sentinel inside a conference room at the Oak Creek Police Department headquarters.
