Sabadell United Bank Reports $24.2 Million in Net Income for the Nine Months Ended September 30, 2012

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sabadell United Bank reported today net income of $5.7 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012. Year to date, the bank has reported net income of $24.2 million, more than double the $10.8 million in net income reported for the same period last year.

Sabadell United Bank’s 2012 third-quarter net income of $5.7 million compares with a 2011 third-quarter net income of $4.0 million, and a 2012 second-quarter net income of $8.9 million (which included some one-time items). Sabadell United Bank reported $3.7 billion in assets as of September 30^th. The bank’s total loan portfolio was $2.2 billion at the end of the third quarter, compared to $1.9 billion a year earlier. Deposit balances were $2.9 billion, up from $2.7 billion a year ago.

Sabadell United Bank’s third-quarter Tier 1 risk-based capital ratio was 17.95 percent and its Tier 1 to average assets ratio was 10.43 percent, compared with the FDIC standards for a well-capitalized bank of 6 and 5 percent, respectively.
