Teleflex Launches New ARROW® FlexBlock™ Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Catheter

LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX) announced today the launch of the new Arrow^® FlexBlock^™ Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Catheter. The FlexBlock Catheter was introduced October 13^th at ANESTHESIOLOGY^™ 2012, the annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and product will begin shipping to customers in November.

This announcement follows the FlexBlock Catheter’s recent 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Arrow^® FlexBlock^™ Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Catheter is intended for clinicians who use ultrasound-guidance when placing continuous peripheral nerve block catheters. The echogenic, coil-reinforced FlexBlock Catheter body is constructed of polyurethane, and the unique catheter design offers a combination of ultrasound visibility, flexibility, and excellent kink resistance. The FlexBlock Catheter's tip design is intended to provide clinicians with a predictable spread of anesthetic.

The FlexBlock Catheter will be available in a variety of standard tray configurations designed to meet the specific needs of anesthesia providers and through Teleflex’s Arrow^® Select Kits (ASK) custom kit program.
