AuthenTec Enables Secure HD Content Delivery for Lufthansa Technik’s In-Flight Entertainment and Cabin Management System nice® HD

MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AuthenTec, a leading provider of mobile and network security, announced today it has teamed with Lufthansa Technik to ensure secure delivery and distribution of premium high definition (HD) content via Lufthansa Technik’s In-flight Entertainment and Cabin Management System nice® HD for Business and VIP Jets. AuthenTec’s DRM Fusion solution enhances security of Lufthansa Technik’s in-flight system by protecting HD content from the point of origin to the point of playback.

AuthenTec DRM ensures the secure upload of content licenses to aircrafts as they are being serviced on the ground, and is used to securely deliver licenses to traveling passengers for viewing HD content on passenger screens once the plane is airborne.
