REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--()--Total Defense, Inc., the leading provider of solutions to combat the growing threat of cybercrime, today announced the expansion of its executive team with the following appointments: Oscar Marquez will now serve as chief product officer, and Michelle Marian joins as the VP of eCommerce and digital marketing.

With over 20 years of security experience, Marquez will shape the development and delivery of Total Defense’s cloud security offerings. He will be responsible for product strategy, product management and engineering across the business. Prior to joining the company, Marquez was CEO of iSheriff, a pioneering leader in cloud security solutions, which was acquired by Total Defense in July 2012. He was previously CTO of iSheriff, where he led the development of the company's renowned Web and Email cloud security services and built a near-zero latency global data center infrastructure. Prior to iSheriff, Marquez held senior executive and technical roles with M86 Security, Tier-3, Ubizen, NetiQ, Siemens Nixdorf and Novell. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Barcelona.
Marian joins the Total Defense team with more than 20 years of marketing experience, with more than 14 years focused on online marketing and sales. Most recently she served as SVP of eCommerce at Webroot where she drove revenue growth through the execution of online marketing programs, customer acquisition and retention programs, and social media and mobile initiatives. Her previous roles include building eCommerce businesses for leading companies including Safeway, AOL, AT&T Broadband and Qwest Communications. She began her career in advertising sales and new media at The Washington Post. Marian holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters of International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina at Columbia.
