Valspar Announces Planned Retirement of Lori A. Walker, Chief Financial Officer

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gary E. Hendrickson, Chairman of the Board and CEO, The Valspar Corporation (NYSE: VAL), announced today the planned retirement of Lori A. Walker, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Walker joined Valspar in 2000 as Assistant Controller, was promoted to Vice President and Controller in 2001, Vice President and Treasurer in 2004, and has been Valspar’s CFO since 2008. “I want to thank Lori and congratulate her for a distinguished career with Valspar,” Hendrickson said. “She has contributed significantly to the growth and success of the company.” Walker will remain with the company until a successor is named and will be available to the company for an extended period thereafter to ensure a seamless transition.
