COSTA MESA, Calif.--(Mesa Consolidated Water District (Mesa Water) has hired Roger J. Galli as Financial Services Manager, effective September 17. In this role, Galli manages Mesa Water’s Financial Services Department.)--

“Per the District’s strategic plan adopted by the Board of Directors, one of Mesa Water’s top priorities is to be financially responsible and maintain competitive rates,” says Mesa Water Board President Fred R. Bockmiller, Jr., P.E. He adds, “As Financial Services Manager, Mr. Galli will continue to uphold the District’s commitment to fiscal accountability and stability, including maintaining Mesa Water’s AAA rating which was recently re-affirmed by Fitch.”
As Mesa Water’s Financial Services Manager, Galli oversees the District’s $37 million budget by planning, directing, and managing the activities and operations of the Financial Services Department. He is responsible for accounting and budget preparation, financial reporting, investments, purchasing, and payroll.
For the past 17 consecutive years, Mesa Water has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (“GFOA”). Mesa Water has also received Meritorious Operating Budget Award from the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO), which the District has twice entered and won for its annual operating budget.
With over 30 years of broad experience in accounting, financial management, and operations, Galli possesses approximately twenty years of experience in financial leadership roles, including serving as Chief Operations Officer for MSA Consulting, Inc., and serving as Financial Systems Director for U.S. Filter Corporation. He also served in an interim senior-level finance position with Coachella Valley Water District.
Galli holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University. Having lived in Southern California for almost twenty years, Galli is a resident of Newport Beach. In his spare time, he and his wife of 26 years, Gina, enjoy spending time with their three adult children and two grandchildren.
