Michael Capponi and Capponi Construction Group, LLC, and Miami Rescue Mission will host a press conference on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, to announce its recent partnership for the expansion of the Men’s Center Annex. Capponi Construction Group will increase capacity by adding 78 beds and complete the expansion of the Miami-based homeless shelter, giving it an avant-garde look and feel. Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design, Inc. is the project’s architect and design firm. Following the press conference, Miami Rescue Mission will host tours of the facility, which is currently under renovation.
South Florida-based entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Capponi has a long history of leading humanitarian initiatives, focusing his efforts on supporting Miami Rescue Mission’s aim to feed, house and provide services to the local homeless community. In 2008, proceeds from Capponi’s birthday fundraiser benefitted the Miami Rescue Mission, and other non-profit organizations. The following year, Capponi contributed a new health clinic for the homeless, sponsored the Great Thanksgiving Day Banquet, and donated a vehicle named Hope Mobile to the Miami Rescue Mission, for which he serves as an Advisory Board member.
Capponi is Chairman of Capponi Group Corp., an assemblage of companies that specialize in the construction, entertainment and nightlife industries, as well as the revitalization of Haiti. Founder of the Haiti Empowerment Mission (www.haitiempowermentmission.org), Capponi has been a driving force in rebuilding Haiti through direct aid to its residents. |
