Cloud Expo Survey: 82% Say Less Than Half Their Infrastructure Has Migrated to the Cloud

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--nCircle, the leader in information risk and security performance management solutions, today announced the results of a survey of 127 attendees of the Cloud Expo West conference in Santa Clara, California.

“Cloud infrastructure creates a whole new set of security questions that aren’t easily answered, and many IT security tools don’t adapt well to the cloud, making it difficult for users to migrate quickly.”

Survey findings include:

51% of respondents said they outsource “less than a third” of their infrastructure to the cloud, 31% said they outsource “one-third to one-half” to the cloud
Only 18% of respondent said they outsource “two-thirds or more” of their infrastructure to the cloud
37% said they outsource “moderate impact” data to the cloud
42% said they outsource “low impact” data to the cloud
21% said they outsource “high impact” data to the cloud
