Total Woman Gym & Day Spa Opens in Alameda, Partners with Midway Shelter for Abused and Homeless Women

In Order to Become Acquainted with the Community of Alameda, Total Woman Takes a Leap and Extends a Hand for a Good Cause

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alameda’s newest female-focused fitness and wellness center is committed to the well-being of the women of its community. Total Woman Gym & Day Spa recently opened the doors to an Alameda pre-sale center and they have already proven that they are here for the long haul.

The permanent location to this primarily Southern California based women’s haven opens in the South Shore Plaza in beautiful Alameda, CA on December 15, 2012. That has not slowed Carol Steen, General Manager, from diving head first into the needs of the women whom will soon become her clientele. Carol has reached out to the Midway Shelter of Alameda and established a year long partnership with the shelter to provide financial aid for a worthy cause. Total Woman Gym & Day Spa will also provide moral support and offer friendship to the women of the Midway Shelter for Abused and Homeless Women and Children.

In July 2012, Total Woman made a generous donation to the shelter for their July 4^th Race. This act of kindness has developed into a wonderful support system. Total Woman has also donated to and become a part of the upcoming December 1^st Race/Walk held by the Midway Shelter at Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal.

Registration for this event is open throughout November and the event will be on December 1^st at 9:00 am. Total Woman representatives will be in attendance to start off the Kids’ Race as well as provide information about the services they offer.
