SynapSense Appoints Bart Tichelman as CEO

Company Announces CEO Transition to Continue Industry Leadership

FOLSOM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SynapSense Corporation, a leading provider of energy efficient data center infrastructure management solutions, today announced that the company has named Bart Tichelman its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr. Tichelman joins SynapSense with more than 30 years of experience in the technology and cleantech industries. As CEO, he led two clean-tech companies to successful exits; Statpower Technologies was sold to Xantrex Technology Inc. in 1999, and Serveron Corporation was sold to BPL Global, Ltd. in 2007. He was also CEO and on the Board of ARISE Technologies Corporation. Most recently he assisted an Atlanta start-up, solar power project developer Renewvia Energy Corporation.

SynapSense also announced that Peter Van Deventer, who co-founded SynapSense in 2006 with Dr. Raju Pandey, has stepped down as CEO.
