SAN DIEGO--(DriveCam, Inc., a global driver risk management company, and Innovative Risk Management (IRM), a full-service risk management, insurance program development and administration company, announced today that Mountain Milk Hauling, Inc., an agriculture transportation company in Mt. Crawford, VA, has made a commitment to deploy DriveCam’s Driver Risk Management solution through IRM’s AVERT® Program.)--
“IRM is excited to work with Mountain Milk and happy to absorb the majority of the DriveCam costs through the AVERT® program”
Insurance broker Haylor, Freyer and Coon, Inc. referred the AVERT program to Mountain Milk for a number of reasons. Understanding Mountain Milk’s commitment to driver safety and desire to proactively manage collision frequency and possible property damage, the broker suggested DriveCam’s Driver Risk Management solution through IRM’s AVERT Program because it allows fleets to quickly assess exposure and efficiently manage associated risk. Knowing the benefit of implementing DriveCam’s Driver Risk Management Program across its fleet, Mountain Milk has decided to deploy without an initial trial.
“IRM is excited to work with Mountain Milk and happy to absorb the majority of the DriveCam costs through the AVERT® program," stated Brian Ricci, Director of Marketing at IRM. "We look forward to this joint effort to take their safety program to the next level.”.
“Having video available to view is one of the most valuable ways to improve safety,” commented Phil Peery, president of Mountain Milk. “It helps our drivers do a better job. It protects the company, fleet and drivers. I particularly like that much of the work of combing through hours of video footage to capture what is really eventful has already been done by DriveCam. It’s a wonderful tool to help understand driving trends throughout my fleet.”
DriveCam addresses the causes of poor driving by combining data and video analytics with real-time driver feedback and coaching, resulting in reductions in collision-related costs and fuel consumption. This is accomplished using DriveCam’s Driver Science Engine, a classification model that assists in predicting the riskiest drivers within a fleet. Through a patented, iterative process of scoring, prioritizing and tracking the results of driving behaviors, this model identifies those behaviors that will most likely lead to a collision and has provided significant savings by helping fleets more effectively manage their drivers. Driving behaviors are captured through in-cab video, which are objectively reviewed and scored and then passed on to the fleet for use in coaching drivers; video provides the objective context for discussion with drivers about their behavior. Fleets like Mountain Milk manage the DriveCam Program through DriveCam Online®, a web-based online portal. Seamlessly integrated into DriveCam’s DC3 event recorder and the DriveCam Online reporting solution, DriveCam’s Fleet Tracking Solution provides a real-time view of fleet operations – helping to ensure compliance and improve productivity – with immediate access to real-time status, trip history and a suite of reports.
“We welcome Mountain Milk to our growing list of satisfied clients, one that includes more shippers and haulers benefitting from DriveCam,” commented Brandon Nixon, DriveCam CEO. “We know that our video-based driver risk management program improves safety, and we see more and more diversified fleets realizing this every day.”
