SAN DIEGO--()--The Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR) holiday drive culminates TODAY with a celebration at this year’s “Holiday House” aka The Driftwood – a beautiful 4-bedroom home for sale in Olde Del Mar.
“SDAR’s Holiday House is only in its second year, but it already has become an important community tradition that will continue to grow. It’s a great way to give back.”
“Thanks to the generosity of numerous people and businesses, Holiday House will make the holidays brighter for individuals and families across San Diego County who are less fortunate than many of us,” SDAR President Donna Sanfilippo said. “SDAR’s Holiday House is only in its second year, but it already has become an important community tradition that will continue to grow. It’s a great way to give back.”
Today’s festivities runs from 4PM to 8PM at the Holiday House – located at 1930 Seaview Ave. Del Mar 92014. All you need to do to attend is make a contribution of $25 at the door or online.
Holiday House will benefit five local charities, all of which will have representatives on hand at the event: Feeding America; YWCA of San Diego County; Homefront San Diego; The Angel's Depot; and Second Chance. Among the 300 or so guests expected to attend is Mayor Bob Filner, Supervisor Dave Roberts, Senator Marty Block, Assemblyman Brian Jones, San Diego Councilman Mark Kersey and Solana Beach Mayor Joe Kellejian.
SDAR wishes to thank them and the numerous local businesses who hosted collection bins to gather new toys, clothes, household items, gift cards and non-perishable food. Last year’s holiday drive delivered over $10,000 in donations and gifts to San Diego’s children, military families, homeless and seniors thanks to the community’s generous outpouring of support.
