TORRANCE, Calif.--()--California Manufacturing Technology Consulting® (CMTC) has teamed with the Orange County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) to help Southern California manufacturers create and retain jobs, increase sales and save costs. The partnership has assisted 15 Orange County manufacturers by providing them programs to increase efficiencies, productivity and profitability.

As a result of the programs, Orange County manufacturers have collectively realized:
- 263 created or saved jobs
- $6,808,000 in increased sales
- $3,350,000 in retained sales
- $1,535,00 in cost savings
Coast Aerospace Manufacturing, Inc. in Placentia was one of the manufacturers that received assistance. The company engineers, designs and builds equipment to service the military, aerospace, commercial, industrial and entertainment markets. The Orange County WIB provided funding for CMTC consultants to offer coaching on market development, strategic planning for business growth and tactical planning to reduce costs. “The Orange County WIB’s support made all the difference in our ability to move forward and achieve these results,” stated Louis Ponce, President.
Stolo Cabinets in Brea also received assistance. Stolo creates quality cabinets, countertops, casework and millwork for a wide range of facilities and have been in business for more than 40 years. The Orange County WIB provided funding to assist Stolo Cabinets with Lean Training to improve their production and assembly processes. As a result of their improved production process, they increased sales by $800,000 and hired 5 new employees. “We have really come together as a team to achieve our goals of sustained company growth. Working with CMTC through the Orange County WIB has really empowered our workers to become more involved in the development of our manufacturing processes,” stated Marty Rivers, Production Manager.
