Razzoo's President and CEO Jeff Powell said, "When we opened our doors in 1992 we hoped to give every guest a multitude of reasons to hurry back. They've been hurrying back now for 20 years. Many people past and present have worked very hard to make this possible and I thank them all."
Razzoo's 20th anniversary celebration caps off an exciting year for Razzoo's in Fort Worth. Earlier in the year Razzoo's was named Best Cajun Restaurant by readers in both the Fort Worth Weekly and Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Razzoo's has also announced plans to open a new location in north Fort Worth in 2013, and upgraded its Web site to include online ordering for its popular Cajun-Fried Turkeys. Additionally, Razzoo’s created several new signature cocktails and launched them as a trial summer drink program earlier this year. The two new drink categories, “Mason Jar Chillers” and “Beeritas,” proved so popular that Razzoo’s incorporated the drinks into its permanent drink menu.
"Our employees have been amazing," Razzoo's CEO Powell continued. "It's nothing fancy. You probably won't see us on TV or in a cookbook. We are simply committed to opening our doors everyday…even when a Super Bowl ice storm makes that difficult. We just enjoy meeting the people walking through our doors and taking great care of them. They have paid us back with tremendous loyalty. We are proud of our hometown roots, blessed by the loyal support of Fort Worth and Tarrant County and truly grateful for our success. We look forward to many more years in downtown Fort Worth."
Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square, noted, "Razzoo's has been a great partner of Sundance Square for the last two decades. The concept is a great success which is demonstrated by its longevity in Sundance Square, but it takes more than delicious food for a restaurant to succeed. There is a terrific management team in place who have worked hard to provide excellent service at Razzoo's and that is the secret recipe for their 20 years in downtown. We are looking forward to the next 20 years."
