MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--With the election now only a memory, it is time to focus on the economy, and the collaboration of American small businesses and Chinese manufacturers provides opportunities. Chinese companies are lining up to connect with American distributors as quickly as Chinese investors are buying diverse holdings.

Last month, several hundred Chinese business leaders arrived at the San Jose Convention Center in Silicon Valley to explore new partnerships with northern California firms.
“These companies are finding common ground and will do business for their mutual benefit and help the global economy,” said Iris Lei, Chairman of the 2012 Silicon Valley Innovation Forum chaired by the first Chinese American woman to serve in the U.S. Congress, Congresswoman Judy Chu.
In April 2013, a group of Chinese manufacturers will fly to Washington, D.C. for a two day combination of workshops, seminars and one-on-one meetings with American small business owners to negotiate U.S. distribution of their various products. Government and major companies will participate through Business Matchmaking, the non-profit initiative now in its tenth year started by the Small Business Administration and corporate America.
“Our goal is to bring together the best of Chinese manufacturers with small businesses, including some owned by women, minorities or disabled veterans in the U.S. and then to assist them in opening doors for the sale of appropriate products to government agencies and major corporate buyers. Business Matchmaking has facilitated more than 85,000 domestic meetings for growing companies and this event will provide a natural global expansion,” said Phyllis Meyer, Chairman of the Business Matchmaking Advisory Board and co-producer of the U.S. China Procurement Conference being presented by All Biz Connections, LLC.
