LOS ANGELES--()--Inception Media Group, LLC, a diversified media company specializing in the production, acquisition and distribution of entertainment content, today announced the hiring of two entertainment industry veterans, Steven DeMille and Garrett Lee. The addition of DeMille and Lee, in conjunction with Inception’s current roster of senior managers, which include Burgess Wilson, Lisa Yedlin and Rick Buehler, strengthens the overall management team and provides the company tremendous growth opportunities.

Steven DeMille has been named executive vice president, marketing and sales and is charged with directing all of Inception’s marketing, sales, customer service and licensor relation efforts. DeMille began his career in New York at Fox Lorber/New Video Group and was involved in the launch of A&E Home Video. In 2001, DeMille relocated to Los Angeles to oversee home entertainment marketing for First Look Home Entertainment and then in 2008 was hired by Image Entertainment as its senior vice president of marketing where he oversaw all marketing and creative efforts for the company’s direct-to-video and theatrical film releases as well as its branded labels including Discovery Channel, MacGillivray Freeman Films and Levity Entertainment Group.
Garrett Lee has been named executive vice president of product development and is charged with spearheading Inception’s production and acquisition efforts surrounding comedy, Broadway, music and other high-profile special interest programming. Lee began his career in Boston at General Cinema Corporation where he was involved with marketing and in-theatre advertising for the circuit’s 1000-plus screens, ultimately relocating to Los Angeles to work in the company’s Western Regional Office. From General Cinema, Lee went on to join Image Entertainment in 1989 as a member of their sales department. In 1993, Lee transitioned into marketing where he eventually oversaw all home entertainment marketing and creative services and then in 2008 transitioned into product development and acquisitions. Notable titles in his resume include comedy releases from Jeff Dunham, Kevin Hart, Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White, as well as label responsibility for Discovery Channel, The Criterion Collection and a number of Stephen Sondheim properties. Music titles included such artists as Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Bette Midler, Eagles, Michael Feinstein, Sheryl Crow, Nancy Sinatra, The Who, Moody Blues and many others.

Burgess Wilson joined Inception in August 2010 as executive vice president of operations, responsible for the business and financial operations of the company as well as its worldwide digital distribution and aggregation initiatives. Wilson has more than 25 years of experience in retail, video distribution, technology and operations. Prior to joining Inception, he spent 13 years at Image Entertainment where he held several key executive positions primarily focused on digital distribution, post-production and operations.
Lisa Yedlin joined Inception upon the company’s formation in November 2009 as senior vice president of sales. Yedlin was instrumental in developing Inception's home video sales strategy and has more than 25 years of independent film and special interest packaged media sales and promotion experience. Prior to Inception Yedlin held senior sales positions at Image Entertainment, Lionsgate and Time Warner division WEA.
Rick Buehler joined Inception in January 2011 as its executive vice president of business development and has 30 years of experience in home entertainment sales, marketing and distribution. Prior to Inception, Buehler spent five years at Infinity Resources where he launched Infinity Entertainment Group and served as its vice president of sales and acquisitions. At Infinity, Buehler established home entertainment relationships with known brands including Smithsonian and Bandai, as well as with the estates/families of Jerry Lewis, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby and many more.
