In order to compete with the national players in the formalwear industry, Friar Tux Shop has taken a stand to maximize their marketing and advertising efforts in 2013 as well as increase their line of suits and tuxedos for purchase and rental. Headquartered in Anaheim, Friar Tux Shop was founded in 1974 and is family owned and operated. In addition to its 31 retail locations in Southern California, Friar Tux is a member of the Savvi Formalwear Network, allowing them to service formalwear customers throughout the United States and Canada.
Orange Label was contacted by Friar Tux Shop earlier in 2012 and was initially awarded project work including market research and an email campaign strategy targeted at the “wedding” segment of the formalwear market. As the relationship grew, it was apparent that the both parties felt comfortable taking the relationship to the next level with a full-service agreement. Orange Label’s assignment is to ignite the Friar Tux Shop brand such that they are the preferred choice for renting and buying men’s attire for weddings in Southern California. Orange Label is currently developing refreshed marketing collateral and a re-imagined website, as well as direct mail, social media and email campaign strategies. Future plans will include marketing campaigns for the “celebrations” segment of the formalwear market: prom, quinceanera and black-tie events.
