Banneker Expands 3PL Capabilities to Huntsville, Alabama to Support Redstone Arsenal

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On November 12, 2012, Banneker Industries began operations at their new Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Huntsville, AL. The Company’s newest facility is just miles from the Redstone Arsenal and will support both the Arsenal and regional Prime Contractors and their supply chains.

Banneker, in partnership with one of the nation’s largest Aerospace and Defense Primes will be directly supporting U.S. Navy missile programs through a solution that includes value-added warehousing, kitting, quality inspection and transportation services to/from the Arsenal. The Banneker Solution includes:

Receiving and inspecting material from multiple suppliers
Kitting material into reusable parts presentation vehicles
Delivering fully assembled kits directly to the automated manufacturing line
