FREMONT, Calif.--()--Salutron, Inc., a global leader in heart rate and activity monitoring solutions, announced it will launch its new line of consumer physiological monitoring products at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas January 8-11, 2013. The new wearable monitors being showcased at CES incorporate biometric monitoring technologies the company gained from its merger with Linea Research Corporation in early 2012.

Since 1994, Salutron has developed on-demand ECG accurate heart rate monitoring solutions for commercial cardio equipment and consumer chest straps and watches. The company designs, develops and manufactures heart rate monitoring solutions for both the fitness and wellness markets, under a multitude of brands and is recognized as the leader in body monitoring solutions.
In January 2012, Salutron merged with Linea Research Corporation, a provider of sensor integration and signal processing solutions for the medical device industry. Linea’s core competence is in the design and application of electrophysiology and near infrared spectroscopy for medical applications. The company has successfully completed research programs in cardiology and neurology for NASA, DARPA, DOD and DHS.
The new firm combines Linea’s leading research and development capabilities in physiological monitoring with product development, mass manufacturing and marketing capabilities of Salutron.
