The two executives succeed William E. Lipner, who is retiring from active management of InsightExpress, but will continue as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Drew Lipner, who joined InsightExpress in April, 2003, and Marc Ryan, who joined in January, 2010, will share Chief Executive Officer responsibilities. Lipner will lead the company’s sales efforts and advertising operations function. Ryan will assume responsibility for the company’s research, project management, panel and sample, engineering and IT, and marketing functions. The two will share responsibility for the company’s finance and human resources functions.
Drew Lipner, who was promoted from EVP, Group Director, Agencies & Media, has been instrumental in advancing InsightExpress marketing effectiveness solutions and evolving the measurement of media within the online and mobile spaces. During his almost 10 year tenure at InsightExpress he has assumed increasing responsibilities. Prior to joining InsightExpress, Lipner served as a Senior Account Executive with CBS MarketWatch (now a Dow Jones Company) as well as an Account Executive for NFO WorldGroup (now part of Taylor Nelson Sofres plc., a group company of WPP plc.) in New Zealand. Lipner resides in San Francisco, CA and holds a BA degree from Hobart William Smith.
Marc Ryan, who previously served as Executive Vice President, Chief Research Officer, has made countless important contributions to the organization over the past three years. Marc conceptualized and led the development of the award-winning Ignite Network, the world's largest panel-based data analytics and research platform, which brings together unmatched scale with the power of consumer insight. In addition, Marc has overseen the growth of the Market Research Team at InsightExpress, significantly expanding the group's analytics focus and capabilities. Prior to InsightExpress, Marc worked at the Nielsen Company (Nielsen Online) where he most recently held the position of VP, Corporate Development, Strategy and Innovation. Before joining Nielsen, Marc held research roles at Jupiter Media Metrix and Millward Brown. Marc graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce and resides in Darien, CT.
