Energy and Environmental Lawyer John P. Englert Joins Saul Ewing’s Pittsburgh Office

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Saul Ewing LLP is pleased to announce that John P. Englert has joined the firm as a partner in the Energy, Environment and Utilities Department. Mr. Englert, who focuses his practice on energy, environmental, and safety and health matters for commercial and industrial clients, will be resident in Saul Ewing’s Pittsburgh, PA office.

Mr. Englert advises energy and industrial clients on regulatory matters, permitting and ongoing compliance as well as matters relating to hazardous material transportation and environmental cleanup. He also handles matters involving licensing, use, disposal and cleanup of radioactive materials, pursuant to Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Energy and state regulatory programs.

Mr. Englert has a strong background in the sciences and a previous career in the energy industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a master’s degree in natural sciences. Before earning his law degree, he worked as a scientist and an environmental and radiological consultant, primarily in the nuclear industry.

Mr. Englert is a triple graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo. He earned his law degree there in 1993 as well as his master’s degree in 1980 and his bachelor’s degree in 1977.
