CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Goldman Ismail LLP is pleased to announce that Shayna Cook has joined the firm as a partner in Chicago. Formerly of Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott LLP, Cook’s practice focuses on product liability defense as well as commercial and intellectual property litigation.

Cook has represented multinational clients in a variety of commercial litigation. Most notably, she has served as national trial counsel in major multidistrict litigation involving pharmaceutical product liability, including the Vioxx, Trasylol and YAZ/Yasmin matters. She recently represented a large defense contractor in a trial in Washington, D.C. relating to a major government contract dispute.

Before Bartlit Beck, Cook was an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division. She also was a clerk for federal judge Sam Sparks in Austin, Texas.
