Hotel Opens with New Name, Look Following Multi-Million Dollar Upgrade

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of a newly renovated hotel just 15 minutes from South Carolina's Charleston International Airport. The 149-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Charleston Airport, formerly an exterior-corridor property, has been completely transformed into an upscale, full-service interior corridor hotel owned and operated by Homecourt Hospitality N. Charleston LLC under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.

The comprehensive, year-long renovation included all guest rooms and all public areas. The new contemporary accommodations are distinctly appointed with design cues hailed from both past and present decades with a subtle nod to Charleston’s heritage as prominent aeronautics center and home to a Boeing plant and Charleston Air Force base. Central to the hotel’s aeronautic theme is the new restaurant, Two Wrights, named for the pioneering Wright brothers.
