OAKLAND, Calif.--()--Platt Inc Real Estate, a boutique residential Real Estate company owned by Cameron Platt, the 2012 president of the Oakland Association of REALTORS®, has affiliated with Harcourts USA and changed its name to Harcourts Platt Inc Real Estate.
“For example, two of us are members of the California State Bar and have extensive experience in real estate law.”
Harcourts is a 125-year-old international real estate company with 800+ offices in 10 countries and is recognized as one of the fastest growing real estate brands in the world. The company, which is headquartered in Australia and New Zealand, established Harcourts USA in California in 2011 and has established more than a dozen offices in Southern California. Harcourts Platt Inc Real Estate is the first Northern California brokerage to join.
Cameron Platt, who completed over $10 million in transactions in 2012, will keep the company in its offices at 3560 Grand Avenue in Oakland for now, although he plans for significant growth in 2013. Harcourts Platt Inc Real Estate currently has five agents offering residential brokerage services throughout Oakland, Piedmont, Berkeley, Alameda, and Lamorinda.
“We bring a level of expertise and education that’s rare in the industry,” said Cameron Platt. “For example, two of us are members of the California State Bar and have extensive experience in real estate law.”
Platt is also a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a designation held by less than 4 percent of REALTORS® nationwide. CRS designees are responsible for more than 27 percent of residential properties sold in the U.S., according to the Council of Residential Specialists, a not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®.
“I’m delighted to welcome Cameron and his team to Harcourts,” said Aaron Hodson, CEO of Harcourts USA, which is headquartered in Aliso Viejo.
“The professionals at Harcourts Platt Inc Real Estate are joining a team of over 12,000 professionals working in 10 countries, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Indonesia, and South Africa,” said Hodson, noting that Harcourts is the first, second, or third-ranked real estate producer in the majority of the countries it operates in. Harcourts International Ltd. exceeded a record $20.9 billion in sales for the 2011 financial year.
“Harcourts is actively involved in the personal and professional development of every person on its team,” he said. “That’s why the average annual income of Harcourts agents worldwide was in excess $168,000 in 2011 – a vast improvement over the industry average in California which currently sits at just $18,000 per year.”
