The February 1-2, 2013 event examines the potential of new technologies and usage models to tangibly improve learning and education access, and explores market and investment opportunities. Anant Agarwal, President, edX, a worldwide, online learning initiative of MIT and Harvard University. Dr. Agarwal is a professor in MIT’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department and currently leads the Carbon Group, which researches operating systems and architectures for many cores and clouds. He is an internationally recognized developer and author.
Gregory Bialecki, Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing & Economic Development, drives the Patrick Administration’s support and expansion of the Commonwealth’s nation-leading innovation economy.
John Katzman, Founder and CEO of Noodle, founder of 2Tor (now 2u), founder of The Princeton Review and respected education innovator, visionary and author.
Anthony Kim, Founder and CEO, Education Elements, which is bringing blended learning to schools across the US. He previously founded Provost Systems, which provided software and services for operating online schools, and which was sold to Edison Learning.
Matthew Pittinsky, CEO, Parchment, which unleashes the value and critical data of education credentials. Matthew was Co-Founder of Blackboard, Inc., whose systems are used by millions of students and educators around the world. As an entrepreneur, sociologist and professor, Matthew is globally recognized for the distinct impact of his contributions, and he continues to help define the leading edge of ed tech innovation.
Seth Reynolds, Partner, The Parthenon Group, strategic advisors for global CEOs, organizations and business leaders. As an Education Practice leader, Seth advises clients on strategy development, operational improvement, performance management, investment due diligence and new venture creation. His experience spans for-profit and public sectors across K-12, post-secondary, and corporate training.
