CHICAGO--()--Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Huron Legal managing director Carolyn Southerland will speak at LegalTech New York on the Cost and Risk Management track at the annual industry conference on Wednesday, January 30.
“Are We Here to Bury the Search Terms?”
Huron Legal LTNY Panels on Cost and Risk Management Track on Wednesday, January 30:
10:30-11:45am “Are We Here to Bury the Search Terms?”
This
session will cover the use of search terms in litigation, as well as
discuss using technology assisted review (TAR) in order to balance both
cost and risk in responding to discovery requests in litigation and
governmental investigations.
2:00-3:15pm “The Evolving Role of Analytics”
For years
various analytic tools have been used to QC productions after human
review, and now both sides are relying on analytics of various types to
find the key documents in a matter. The Da Silva Moore and Kleen
Products cases have shown us that parties – and judges – can
disagree on the best processes for locating potentially relevant
documents.
3:45-5:00pm “Will Technology Assisted Review Save Money?”
This
session will address the use of TAR to identify a larger percentage of
potentially relevant documents and reduce the volume of irrelevant
documents identified compared to methods such as keyword search and also
the cost implications of TAR in the overall litigation process.
Southerland is a seasoned litigator with more than 20 years of experience developing processes and strategies in the e-discovery arena. She will be available at Huron Legal’s booth, #2120, throughout the conference to discuss cost and risk concerns, and other e-discovery issues affecting the legal industry.
Huron Legal recently launched Integrated Analytics, a new discovery solution that provides a comprehensive, integrated process with unprecedented accuracy, increased transparency, and a capped-cost pricing model utilizing the integration of people, process and technology. Huron Legal also opened a new document review center in India and a data analytics center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
