SAN DIEGO--()--Transition Expo San Diego announces a one-day event for current and former military service members with undergraduate degrees who are interested in pursuing civilian careers through opportunities for advanced education and manager-level employment.
The expo was produced in collaboration with top education and employment organizations. It addresses veteran transition and unemployment while allowing businesses and local economies to fill a void with high-performing managers who have leadership skills.
Transition Expo San Diego will be followed by monthly meetings, held by local membership chapters, to help veterans build key relationships and assist in the ongoing development of their civilian careers. Other regional education and employment expos are scheduled for veterans in 2013. The first will be hosted by the MBA-EMBA Programs at San Diego State University on March 26, 2013, followed by events planned in Research Triangle Park, NC and Washington, D.C.
Cost of attendance is $95, which includes morning presentations, afternoon exhibits and annual membership fees. Attendees gain valuable insights into planning careers from qualified experts who discuss the most important aspects of searching for civilian employment and evaluating various types of graduate degrees. Exhibits allow attendees to put their plans into action by speaking directly with top hiring managers and admissions representatives of graduate schools.
Due to space requirements, participation is limited to the first 200 attendees who register. For more information and to register, go to transitionexpos.com.
