“Being ranked in the U.S. News & World Report’s travel rankings is a true honor for The American Club resort,” said Debbie Taylor, Kohler Hospitality & Real Estate Group President. “We are pleased to occupy the top spot in Wisconsin and represent the State on the list of Best Hotels in the USA. It is a true testament to our dedicated associates who continuously deliver Five-Star hospitality.”
U.S. News & World Report’s review shares that guests of The American Club resort praise Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run golf courses, saying “their beauty rivals the rugged courses of Scotland.” Visitors also applaud The Wisconsin Room restaurant for its brunch and the Five-Star Kohler Waters Spa for its wide array of luxurious and rejuvenating services.
To create this year's rankings, U.S. News & World Report factored in the prominence of industry awards a hotel receives along with its reputation among travel experts and guests. In total, 1,639 U.S. luxury hotels and 273 Caribbean hotels were analyzed for the 2013 rankings. Only a fraction of these scored high enough to be named Best Hotels by U.S. News.
“This is our third year ranking hotels, and the bar continues to climb for luxury properties,” said Chad Smolinski, Vice President of Rankings and Reviews at U.S. News & World Report. “Desirable amenities and hotel loyalty programs will no longer suffice. People are seeking hotels that go above and beyond to give their guests an unforgettable experience. Hotels that consistently meet the high expectations of experts and travelers are recognized in our rankings.”
