BOSTON--()--RAMP, the leader in next generation search and video experiences, announced today the availability of a new report from the Aberdeen Group that reveals important trends in the adoption and use of video in the enterprise.
“Enterprise Video Content Management: The State of Use and Capabilities”
The report, titled “Enterprise Video Content Management: The State of Use and Capabilities”, analyzes a survey of IT professionals with enterprise video responsibilities and focuses on understanding how organizations are using video across multiple enterprise use cases and how best-in-class organizations are integrating video with existing Enterprise Content Management (ECM) implementations.
Some of the findings in the report include:
- 72% of respondents rate video delivery to smartphones and tables as valuable, yet only 29% have a solution.
- 68% of respondents rate video search as valuable, yet only 25% have a solution.
- Best-in-class companies are 5.5 times more likely to use an enterprise video content management platform.
- 83% of respondents plan to increase the use of video within their existing Enterprise Content Management (ECM) implementations.
“Just having enterprise video is not the same as making it useful and ultimately valuable to your organization.” says Tom Wilde, RAMP’s CEO. “The Aberdeen Group report confirms RAMP’s assertion that enterprise video is only valuable if it can be natively managed, found, and consumed through the tools and applications employees and customers use every day.”
The Aberdeen Group report is available for download now from RAMP’s Web site at http://www.ramp.com/2013/01/enterprise-video-content-management-state-of-uses-and-capabilities-december-2012/ .
