HOUSTON--()--HealthHelp announced today its participation in the Medicaid Innovations 2013 February 6 and 7 in Orlando, Florida. Representatives from the leading specialty benefits management company will speak during the conference and meet with attendees at its booth (#2).
“Collaborative Utilization Management of Advanced Diagnostic Imaging for Medicaid Patients: One State’s Experience From Its First Year”
HealthHelp Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mark D. Hiatt, MBA, MS, will present “Controlling Advanced Diagnostic Imaging With Specialty Benefits Management: Two Case Studies” from 10:50 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. on February 7. His presentation, co-authored with Timothy R. Johnstad, MBA, will address the challenges faced by Medicaid plans and how SBM can help to achieve appropriate utilization of advanced diagnostic imaging, resulting in savings for payors and ensuring that patients receive medically appropriate care. Dr. Hiatt’s findings stem from HealthHelp’s experience providing SBM to a commercial and a state-run Medicaid plan.
Medicaid Innovations serves as an annual meeting place for those in the Medicaid universe who want to participate, share, and learn about innovations that promote performance, improvement, and transformation. Last year’s event drew more than 200 participants and showcased leading solutions providers in the industry, such as HealthHelp. To learn more, visit the conference website.
Timothy R. Johnstad, MBA, will follow up with a free webinar on the same topic from 11 a.m. to noon (CST) on February 19. “Collaborative Utilization Management of Advanced Diagnostic Imaging for Medicaid Patients: One State’s Experience From Its First Year” will look at how collaborative radiology benefit management can control rising Medicaid costs, particularly for advanced diagnostic imaging, without disturbing a provider network perceived as difficult to retain. The findings utilize HealthHelp’s experience providing RBM to a state-run Medicaid plan. Register for the webinar at gotomeeting.com.
