TIBCO Co-founder Joins WSO2 as Vice President of Product Marketing

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Increasingly, enterprises are waking up to the potential of the cloud. Today, WSO2 announced that TIBCO co-founder John Mathon has joined as vice president of product marketing to help these enterprises realize their vision. Most recently John was vice president of engineering and principal architect at CA Technologies where he helped the company move to the cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS). At WSO2, John will focus on delivering solutions based on WSO2’s award-winning cloud and enterprise middleware, which offer new cloud-enabled models for developing, delivering and sharing applications that drive business value.

As a co-founder and CTO at TIBCO, John invented and created the information bus using a publish/subscribe model; created Marketsheet for Windows, CYBERTIB, and TIB in the Cloud; and managed large software development projects for some of the world’s largest financial firms. Following TIBCO, John was co-founder and CTO of Slam Dunk Networks (now Cloud Prime). He then served as founder, CTO and chairman of the board at Mathon Systems, Inc., delivering solutions for data loss prevention. At CA, John played a leading role in the company’s transition from a silo-oriented, on-premise enterprise software delivery company to a major SaaS provider and cloud leader.
