“As the official clearinghouse of AADOM, we are honored to be a part of an organization that empowers office managers to make positive improvements to their practice’s profitability and become an integral part of its overall success.”
“Our continued relationship with MDE has enabled AADOM members to learn new ways to remain at the center of their practice’s profitability,” said Heather Colicchio, president of AADOM. “AADOM and MDE will collaborate over the coming year to continue providing members with the latest tools to cultivate their expertise on the revenue cycle—making them even more indispensable to their practice.”
MDE is dedicated to ensuring dental office managers are experts on revenue cycle management. As AADOM’s official insurance clearinghouse, MDE offers AADOM members access to ongoing educational resources that provide the latest tools and helpful tips in the form of webinars, monthly eNewsletters and white papers.
In a 2012 joint-survey completed by AADOM and MDE, office managers provided valuable insight into their daily routines and challenges—the results of which will be a driving force behind MDE’s educational efforts in 2013. For example, in the survey 88 percent of office managers reported that predeterminations are a regular part of their daily routine. Of these respondents, only five percent of office managers use real-time technology to receive predeterminations in less than one minute, while 83 percent conduct predeterminations manually and wait up to several weeks for information from payers, slowing down the entire claims process and exposing the need to improve real-time acceptance among payers and dentists.
“We value our relationship with AADOM and are thrilled to continue collaborating on ways to best support office managers and their critical role within the revenue cycle,” said Richard Moore, president of MDE. “As the official clearinghouse of AADOM, we are honored to be a part of an organization that empowers office managers to make positive improvements to their practice’s profitability and become an integral part of its overall success.”
