Video Guidance's 2012 Conferencing Services Revenues Jump 83%

Strong growth due to increased demand for VG Connect’s cloud service programs

BLOOMINGTON, Minn.--()--Twin Cities-based Video Guidance, the leading strategic video conferencing company in the Upper Midwest, is enjoying record booked sales in 2012 that have increased 83 percent over year-end 2011.

“They simply want us to manage everything.”

As the multi-billion collaboration industry grows year over year, Video Guidance continues to introduce new products and services, and expand into new Midwest markets, including those in Wisconsin, Illinois and North Dakota. Specifically, the company attributes its success in 2012 to a substantial increase in VG Connect™, Video Guidance’s industry-unique cloud-based video service.

“Our customers want easy-to-use, cost-effective video conferencing technology that they do not have to own, support or troubleshoot,” said Michael Werch, president and CEO of Video Guidance. “They simply want us to manage everything.”

VG Connect is an integration of video conferencing tools that combines desktop, mobile and room systems with HD video, voice, multi-point bridging, streaming and gateway programs into one secure and reliable service. Compared to premise-based video solutions, VG Connect services are preferred by an increasing number of customers because they are more scalable, reduce the need for internal resources, improve call satisfaction and offer a lower cost of ownership.

“We regularly need to bring together multiple sites as well as multiple participants on our conference calls,” said Tammy Klatt, technical business analyst for Madison, Wis.-based Dean Clinic, one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the country. “Video Guidance helps facilitate our large conferences 24x7 and connects participants from integrated video conference rooms, desktop video endpoints and our audio conferencing bridge.”

Dean Clinic has expanded its strategic visual communications into telemedicine. Klatt says Dean Clinic uses video conferencing in telepharmacy, where pharmacists can remotely evaluate the preparation of medications; and soon in teleconsults, where patients can be seen remotely in a rural community by a specialist. “With VG Connect, we are using this technology to deliver the best healthcare possible,” she said.

Another key component of the company’s 2012 revenue growth is ONE CALL, Video Guidance’s support program. ONE CALL’s new sales have risen 21 percent over 2011 and renewals have increased 66 percent. ONE CALL manages an organization’s infrastructure -- gateways, bridges, management systems and end points -- which integrates all of the company’s technology partners, including Cisco, Polycom and LifeSize.
