The conference takes place at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, S.C. from Feb. 24 through Feb. 26, 2013.
“Navigating Regulations for the Best Outcomes in Pain Management”
Gavin’s session, starting at a 9 a.m. on Tues., Feb. 26, takes an in-depth look at several states’ regulations and discusses how workers’ compensation professionals can use existing medical and legal tools to reduce the use of potentially dangerous and addictive opioids. The presentation also examines the pros and cons of pain- and drug-management initiatives such as closed formularies, utilization review law changes and direction of care in several states including Texas, Calif., Mass., Wash., and S.C.
