INGLEWOOD, Calif.--()--Leo Chu, President of Hollywood Park Casino Gaming Management and Century Gaming Management, which currently manages the Hollywood Park Casino, responded to public comments from the prospective new casino operator about the future for employees of the casino after the management transition. Century Gaming Management, which has managed Hollywood Park Casino for nearly 15 years, has consistently enjoyed a positive working relationship with its employees.
The following is a statement by Mr. Chu regarding the management transition and ongoing employee matters:
“We have enjoyed a long and positive relationship with our employees and the Inglewood community. We were very pleased to read that Mr. Swallow intends to keep many of the employees, and we would encourage him to go a step further and keep them all. Our employees are the heart and soul of Hollywood Park Casino, they make the casino special and they have the skills to ensure a seamless transition for the new management.
“Hollywood Park Casino is a part of the fabric that makes up the Inglewood community. The casino drives the local economy, supports jobs and allows many people to call the surrounding community home. We have enjoyed working with all of our employees; we wish them and the community nothing but the best.
“Despite legally being required to issue the WARN Act notice to our employees in anticipation of a management transition, we remain committed to them and ensuring their future. It has been our esteemed pleasure to operate Hollywood Park Casino, while we are sad to be moving on, we are confident that with the support of our employees the new manager will continue the casino’s legacy.”
