Oil legend T. Boone Pickens mused on a lifetime of work and offered his outlook on oil & gas in the future today at NAPE’s Decision Maker’s Breakfast at the 20th annual NAPE at the George R. Brown Convention Center. More than 20,000 gathered in Houston for one of the E&P (upstream) industry's most important deal-making opportunities in the world.
Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Great Britain was the keynote speaker at the NAPE Charities Luncheon. Brown's speech touched on the historical and future importance of the oil & gas industry to global economic prosperity and the strength of the U.S.-U.K. relationship. NAPE Charities Industry Luncheon has raised more than $2.5 million through the years for organizations benefitting America's veterans and wounded warriors. Each year, NAPE Expo brings more than $18 million in economic impact to the Houston area.
