Weeden & Co. Hires Michael J. Palazzi as Head of Derivative Sales

GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Michael J. Palazzi joins Weeden & Co., LP as Head of Derivative Sales. Mr. Palazzi will be based in Weeden’s Greenwich, CT headquarters.

Mr. Palazzi, who was formerly Head of Derivative Sales at Pali & Co., spent 15 years heading sales and Nasdaq trading at CIBC in New York. Between stints at CIBC and Pali, Michael ran global sales trading at Cowen & Co.

Mr. Palazzi joins Weeden’s Institutional Options Trading Desk as a producer and co-manager, where he will be working with former colleagues Jeff Fittipaldi (Head Derivatives Trader) and Michael Purves (Chief Global Strategist and Head of Derivatives Research).

The eight person, institutional options trading team complements Weeden’s robust equity trading product suite. The team focuses on dynamic hedging, yield enhancement, stock replacement and volatility strategies for client portfolios. Weeden leads this effort with a highly consultative approach for clients, leveraging its team’s proven track record of providing clients a trusted advisory relationship.
