SAN DIEGO--()--Real estate developer Dean Welsh of Vertical Infill has affiliated with Harcourts USA and established Harcourts Prime Properties Carmel Valley. Harcourts is a 125-year-old international real estate company with 800+ offices in 10 countries and is recognized as one of the fastest growing real estate brands in the world.
“The professionals at Harcourts Prime Real Estate Carmel Valley are joining a team of over 12,000 professionals working in 10 countries, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Indonesia, and South Africa”
Harcourts Prime Properties Carmel Valley is the fifth Harcourts office to open in San Diego County. The office, which will open with seven agents on March 1, is located at 12671 High Bluff Drive, Suite 35, San Diego.
Welsh said the company will specialize in residential real estate property transactions in San Diego’s North County coastal areas. “This area, which includes some of the highest-rated zip codes in the nation, is full of ‘prime’ and oceanfront properties – hence the name,” said Welsh, who expects to grow the business to 25 to 35 agents within the next year.
Welsh brings a wealth of experience to his new venture. In 2005, he and partners established Vertical Infill to assembled urban infill properties for development. Focusing on the North County market, Welsh placed developments totaling 800 units under contract. Additionally, he purchased, rehabbed and sold 35 residences in 2012. Previously, he was associated with O’Donnell/Atkins, a land brokerage and consulting company. He began his career in the financial services industry, working for Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.
Welsh said he choose to affiliate with Harcourts because of the company’s “focus, systems and discipline.”
“Harcourts offers agents and business owners an extraordinary level of education, business planning, and systems integration that is unavailable anywhere else in the industry,” said Welsh. “It’s no wonder that Harcourts is one of the top three producers in all of the other nine countries in which it operates. It’s only a matter of time that it reaches equal status in the United States.”
“I’m delighted to welcome Dean and his team to Harcourts,” said Aaron Hodson, CEO of Harcourts USA, which is headquartered in Aliso Viejo.
“The professionals at Harcourts Prime Real Estate Carmel Valley are joining a team of over 12,000 professionals working in 10 countries, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Indonesia, and South Africa,” said Hodson, noting Harcourts International Ltd. exceeded a record $20.9 billion in sales for the 2011 financial year.
“Harcourts is actively involved in the personal and professional development of every person on its team,” Hodson said. “That’s why the average annual income of Harcourts agents worldwide was in excess $168,000 in 2011 – a vast increase over the industry average in California, which is about $18,000 per year.”
