SAN FRANCISCO & WASHINGTON--()--Razoo.com, the fastest growing crowdfunding platform for causes, today announced findings from a survey about what traits make someone sexy and wealth ranked in last place. While only 6% think being wealthy makes someone sexy, over half (52%) of the 2,059 U.S. adults aged 18 and over surveyed online by Harris Interactive on behalf of Razoo in November 2012 stated that caring about giving to others makes a person sexier.

The combined results show both genders rank personality traits higher than physical characteristics or material wealth.
- Good sense of humor – 73%
- Treats family and friends well – 67%
- Physically fit body – 53%
- Cares about giving to others – 52%

Having a physically fit body, the common assumption of what Americans considers sexy, only ranked 1% higher than a having a charitable heart.
“It’s encouraging to see how important caring about others is to people,” said Lesley Mansford, CEO of Razoo. “At Razoo we believe the act of giving benefits the donor as much as the recipient, if not more so. It is primarily matters of the heart that drive us to connect with each other and give of ourselves – the same motivation that tie us to the charities we care about.”
When the results are divided by genders, a physically fit body is significantly more important to men (62%) than women (45%) but personality still dominates the top three spots for both males and females. The majority of both genders see eye-to-eye on the value of laughing together with over 70% choosing a good sense of humor in the top two sexy traits.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, anyone can increase their sex appeal by giving the “gift of giving” to your loved one. Survey Methodology
This survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of Razoo from November 8-12, 2012 among 2,059 adults ages 18 and older. This online survey is not based on a probability sample and therefore no estimate of theoretical sampling error can be calculated.
